How I Clean My Makeup Brushes

How I Clean my Makeup Brushes

I can’t stress enough to you how important it is to wash your brushes. For one it can help makeup application go on smoother and easier. It can also help clearing up your skin because dirty brushes can cause breakouts.

Usually I’ll wash all my brushes once every week but sometimes I get lazy.
I’ve got a routine down so I only spend the most of 30mins cleaning my brushes.

Brushes
I separate them into categories.

Foundation-These brushes need a deeper wash than the others because liquid is used.

Face-These brushes need a good cleaning but not as harsh as my foundation brushes.
Eyes: These need a gentle wash.
Lip brushes: These need a gentle wash but at the same harsh because of product buildup.
Sponges: A real deep clean is necessary and should be washed more frequently.

Products Used: Baby Shampoo or Dove Bar Soap
Generic Cleaning Mat
Real Techniques Brush Case as Drying Station
Alcohol to Disinfect the Brush Handles
