Cleansing Balm: Sunday Riley

Sunday Riley
Blue Moon Tranquility Cleansing Balm

Cleansing balms are something that are either a hit or a miss for me. I’m just not sure why but I tend to not like a lot of the cleansing balms that I have tired. I think it may be my skin type or that I’m just very picky with the skincare that I use now.
I’ve previously reviewed a different cleansing balm and I now thought that I should give you my opinion on this one. Both are completely different in texture and the way they act.
Personally, the Sunday Riley blue moon tranquility cleansing balm on a scale of 1-5 would be a 3. I like it but don’t love it. I feel this cleansing balm was so hyped that I thought I would love it but I didn’t and that was quite disappointing.
The balm itself is a beautiful blue color, which is very pleasing.  However this balm leaves a residue behind, which I strongly dislike. Plus it doesn’t remove all my makeup as a first step-cleansing product.
I do double cleanse and by then my makeup is usually fully removed but with this I still have to use another product to remove the excess.  Normally, I use an oil first because it removes all my eye makeup, most importantly waterproof mascara. The balm doesn’t remove my waterproof mascara just to be clear.
For the price I don’t think it is worth it. On the website it mentions that you can also use it as a hydrating mask but I didn’t like it for this purpose either.
I guess I can say that maybe cleansing balms are just not my thing. Maybe I haven’t found the one that fits my skin yet. I do however want to give the Clinique Take The Day Off balm one more time and see if that works out.  The price difference between these two is ridiculous in a good way.

Have you tried this cleansing balm yet? Which cleansing balm is your favorite if you have tried any?

Thank you for reading dolls, until next time
