Matte or Dewy?

Primers in Rotation

Finding a primer that keeps me matte has been something that I struggled with for years. I have yet to find that perfect primer. I’ve purchased quite a few primers but have yet to find the one.

I like being matte during the spring-summer but a bit glowy during fall-winter. One primer that does leave my makeup looking incredibly matte was the Make Up For Ever step 1 skin equalizer in the mattifying formula.
Most of these primers are affordable and easy to find. I have also used the Benefit Pore Fessional primer and find that it is great for minimizing the pores but not for staying matte. It doesn’t claim to do that in the first place.
Primers like foundations are a personal preference so something that I like might not work for you.
