Summer 2017
Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

The first adventure of summer 2017. Going to the boardwalk was a great way to start this summer. It was a crowded day because a lot of people had the same idea as we did.
This was my second time going to the boardwalk and I don’t know why though.  Now the place has changed a lot since the last time I was there. New rides and attractions are opening this summer.

I didn’t take loads of pictures because I was having too much fun. I ended up spending most of my time at the beach because it was extremely sunny to be walking around.
Oh, and I had the best tater twist with ketchup and  hot sauce at the boardwalk. It was deliciously yummy.
Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is located in Santa Cruz, California. The Boardwalk is one of California’s historical landmarks because it is one of the oldest amusement parks. It was founded in 1907. The amusement park has a view to the beach and is only a couple of steps away.

There are over 40 rides and attractions for everyone in the family. From kid friendly games to more thriller rides for those more adventurous. Some of the rides include: Giant Dipper Roller Coaster (Historic landmark ride), typhoon, shockwave, undertow, doubleshot, fireball, wipeout, cyclone, cave train, 1911 Looff Carousel (Historic Landmark ride), speed bumps and many more.
Restaurants and gift shops are also available. Admission to the boardwalk is free but if you want to get on rides there is a price. A season pass is $81.95 for the entire year. The rides + attractions combo is $42.95 and includes $15 in bonus points.  The one we got was the all-day ride wristband for $36.95.  If you just want to go on individual rides, attractions or play games you can get a MyBoardwalk card.

Before going it is a good idea to check the time it opens and when is closes because the times are different everyday. There are also movie and concert nights but you have to check the calendar beforehand.
Mini Golf, Laser Tag, Laser Maze, Bowling, arcade games and a pool are also available. Group discounts, school discounts, birthday parties and reservations are also available.
So use sunscreen and bring a hat on your next summer adventure.

Have you been to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk before? Are you on summer break?
