The Current Lineup: Skincare Edition

What's in my skincare routine?

The Current Line Up
Skincare Edition

My skin seemed to actually dislike (hate) me a few weeks ago. I was breaking out like crazy, the breakouts were some of the worst I’ve ever had. At first I thought it could be related to school (stress from final projects and exams) but I’m still not sure exactly what was the main cause of all these breakouts. I think it was a combination of different things.
Honestly trying to find products that worked for my skin during that time was hard. Everything that I tried irritated my skin more and caused even more breakouts. I feel like I was trying EVERYTHING! All the products that usually worked for me, did nothing. Not even products that I knew and trusted were working.

I also found that what I was eating really affected how my skin looked. If I’m consuming a lot of dairy products then I know I will wake up with a spot or two. If I eat out and consume a lot of junk food like chips (crisps), candy and sugary drinks then the same thing happens. Finding the balance is essential because I love chocolate and I don’t think I could stop eating it (I probably could).
From my usual routine I ended up changing my trusted face wash to a new one that was recommended to me. This is big because I usually stick to the one that works for me but I needed to start fresh. I had fun testing out different products and I feel like I have found something that works.
Some of the products I had used before but have now slowly reintroduced back into my routine and I’ve found the perfect balance.
A little note to self: sometimes drugstore products are better than high end.
