Hydration: Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Cream

Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Cream

Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Cream

One of those gimmicky products that you feel are to good to be true. That was exactly what I thought when I was looking at this product online. A product that helps with redness, uneven skin tone and acne/blemishes?
This product is targets two of my major skin concerns, so I was definitely excited to try it. I’ve used loads of products that claim to help with acne/blemishes and uneven skin tone but they never really work. I never see a major improvement with my skin. Sometimes these products even break me out or cause my skin to become irritated.
The Cicapair Tiger Grass Cream is supposed to sooth skin damage that is caused by dryness, irritation or inflammation. The formulation of this cream includes Nolsome Capsule, which will improve the penetration of ingredients so you are getting the most out of your product. It is also formulated with resurrection plant, houttuynia cordata and yarrow to help support strong skin. These products are supposed to be great because the product is formulated without parabens, sulfates and phthalates, which can be harmful for the skin.

$48 for 1.7oz or 50mL

Squeeze tube and super sanitary + not wasteful.

The Big Question

Did it work?
I tested out this product for a few months, until I finished the entire tube. So I think I have a pretty good idea if it worked or not.
Comparing my skin from when I first started using this product to now, I don’t see a big difference. My skin is definitely more hydrated but my blemishes are still the same. The redness around my nose shows no difference at all.
I don’t think this product did anything super special.  I mean I wouldn’t pay $48 for it again, for the purpose of targeting blemishes or redness. I would repurchase it if I wanted some extra hydration but that’s about it. This isn’t a magical cream that will help diminishes the appearance of blemishes as I thought it would. Honestly, that was pretty disappointing because I was expecting more.
I would say that if you have dry/normal skin, then you could get away with using this product in the morning. If you have oily skin like myself, I wouldn’t use it in the morning because I usually end up looking like an oily slob afterwards.  Oh and a little definitely goes a long way because you don’t want to over do it.
After, using it for quite some time, I have noticed that it doesn’t clog my pores nor does it break me out. This is a major plus in my books because everything seems to break me out lately.

Final thoughts?

Would I repurchase?
I would not repurchase because I don’t think it did what it claimed to do. The cream was hydrating but it did nothing special.

Would I recommend?
Yes, if you are looking for something hydrating. If you are looking for something that will diminishes the appearance of blemishes or that will reduce the redness, then no.

I’m glad I actually tried this product for myself.  After seeing pictures everywhere and seeing product reviews, I sometimes thought it was to good to be true.

Have you used this product before? Would you recommend this product to anyone? Have you tried any other Dr. Jart+ products that you think I should try?
